Tanu

My name is Tanu. I was born in Meerut. I came here when I was 2 years old. My childhood was very good. I was always allowed to play and there was always plenty of food on the table. 

However, we have faced a lot of challenges. My mother is on dialysis, and she is admitted in the hospital. My father and the rest of my family are constantly trying to support her. 

To do my part, I work in the kitchen to cook food. I also teach my siblings. 

My schedule proves tiring since I have to go to work, come back, cook food and then drop my siblings to school. 

Personally, I studied till 8th grade, and then I left school. 

My parents tried to convince me everything would be okay, but my worries caused me to cry a little. My mother tried to convince me that all will be well. Slowly, my mental health healed.

I hope my mother gets well soon. I hope my siblings study well. I hope they get a good job. 

I hope, I will be able to support myself and them throughout this process, and for the rest of our lives.
