In BMT, one of my section mates worried a lot about everything. A lot of people disliked him at the start, because he usually says things without a second thought, or did things too hastily, and often times he'd get us into more trouble afterwards. But really he only worried so much because he cared a lot more than everyone else. I remember being up really late after everyone had gone to sleep, telling him to stop helping everyone pack their rations, and go to sleep. Another time, I told him to let someone else clean the toilet because he'd already done it himself the past few weeks. He always insisted on doing it though. I think, above all else, the sacrifices he made for us was the most meaningful to me. He didn't do these things for peoples gratitude, a lot of them didn't even notice. I hadn't seen anyone else given so much of themselves, their time and effort and own wellbeing to do the things that noone else wanted to do, so that everyone else could enjoy their extra 30 minutes off.
